Background color problem

for some reason the background color in the h2 elements are not being implemented when i am selecting them with their respective ids. can you help me figure out why is it not happenng?

That’s strange - when I pasted your exact code into a workspace, it works just fine. What are you experiencing instead?

sorry i resolved the problem myself and eddited it here. i forgot to mention that the problem has been solved.
