Any tips on learning a coding language more efficiently?

I’m diving into the full-stack engineer path and would love to pursue it! However, I would also love some tips on efficiently learning, and contain the knowledge of whatever I’ll stumble upon in my programming journey.

Hi there!

Welcome to the forums.

My biggest piece of advice would be to pace yourself. Make sure you have a good understanding of each topic before moving to the next lesson. Challenge yourself to create small projects with what you’ve learned to check your basic knowledge and move on once you feel like you can do so without checking your notes too often. Don’t feel bummed if you do find yourself double-checking your notes. This is the age of the internet, even veteran developers Google a problem now and then.

My second biggest piece of advice is that if you ever feel frustrated—stop, take a break, and return once you feel refreshed. Burnout is real and can create roadblocks in your learning process.

Finally, you’re teaching yourself—be kind to yourself.

Thank you!! I really appreciate it
