Advice with beginning freelance work!

Hi all and Happy Monday!

I feel like I am getting to a position where I may be confident enough to start some basic freelance work (e.g helping small local businesses set up a website) . The only trouble is I have no idea where to start… is it just a case of putting an ad out online and seeing what responses I get?

It would be awesome if anyone can share some experience and offer any guidance on how to make the jump from studying/working on projects to working for clients in the real world?

Check out these other threads as there’s a lot of good advice contained within them.

Also, make sure that you have a current online portfolio & resume and on your LinkedIn profile check the setting for “open to recruiters” option for potential contract work.
