Isn’t Swift super similar to BASIC? I’ve had plenty of experience with BASIC, and i keep thinking that Swift is built off of BASIC. Am i right, or is it just a coincidence?
BASIC is a tokenized language that uses a lot of iterpretable constructs. I’ve only done the first couple of lessons of Swift, and being a Windows user will likely not get very far in that course. However, if what we see in the first exercises which involve printing to the console is any indication, Swift is a functional language since
print() appears to be a function, not a construct.
