9. many selectors, many properties

I cant understand this, how do you write the span tags around the background-color?

You need to select span like how you selected p in the same way..
could I see your HTML .. Did you add the span tags to your HTML code ?

It's a bit like div tag...

In your CSS file, you should select span and set it to background-color: yellow;. Remember how it works:

selector {
property: value;

nope, like how you have

p {
background-color: blue;

same way you select span

span {
background-color: orange;

These tags <span> </span> are HTML tags, they don't go in your CSS code

your paragraph css selector is missing a closing curly bracket (})

Thanks for you're help!
