I really thought I understood returns but I guess I don't. It keeps saying quateris not defined

// Define quarter here.
var quater = function (number) {
 return number / 4
};

if (quarter)(4)(  3 === 0 )
{
  console.log("The statement is true");
}
else
{
  console.log("The statement is false");
}

you name your function quater missing an r. Also fix your () here:

if (quarter)(4)(  3 === 0 )

Hello, I'm new here. I've been learning programming by my own.
To be short, I happened to have the same problem and I can't seems to find it.
Can anybody help me with this? I really need some explanations tho.
This is what I did.

var quater = function(number) {
return number / 4 ;
};

if (quarter() % 3 === 0 ) {
console.log("The statement is true");
} else {
console.log("The statement is false");
}
