here

if(userAnswer === "yes")
{
 console.log("You and Bieber start racing. It's neck and neck! You win by a shoelace!")
};

you are using a semi-colon-; on your IF ELSE statement structure.

For the Javascript interpreter a semi-colon-; is an End-of-Statement indicator,
causing the ELSE not to be reached.

Do NOT use semi-colons-; on a IF ELSE statement

if (condition) {
   //IF code-block
}
else {
   //ELSE code-block
}

Read this for a few code-convention's
