Hi @tfahy13

Is there a particular step in the instructions where you get confused? If so which is it specificly?

Let's walk through them here:

You are given the following dictionary as an example:

animal_counts = {
    "ant": 3,
    "bear": 6,
    "crow": 2
}

And the instructions goes likes this:

  1. Create a new dictionary called prices using {} format like the example above.
  2. Put these values in your prices dictionary, in between the {}:

So basically all you need to do is to respect the same structure shown in the example but using a different name (prices) and putting different items in it (fruits instead of animals).

If you need to refresh your memory on dictionaries, you can revisit this earlier exercise

Note that the structure of a dictionary can be linear or indented, so this (indented):

dictionary_name = {
    "item1": price,
    "item2": price
}

is the same as this (linear):

dictionary_name = {"item1": price, "item2": price}

Good luck! :smile:

Its really simple all you have to do is this:
prices = {
"banana": 4,
"apple": 2,
"orange": 1.5,
"pear": 3
}
