5/8 - did you remember to set the border #008000?

#1

Hi,

I keep getting the error above.
This is my code:
.friend {
border: 2px dashed #008000;
}

.family {
border: 2px dashed #0000FF;
}

.enemy {
border: 2px dashed #FF0000;
}

Can you please tell me what's the problem ?

@razerbaidjan,
I tried you css-code in my stylesheet.css using a windows 8.1 IE11 environment and got a pass...

Maybe...
under certain circumstances you can shoot your Browser in an
inconsistent state.

Therefor it is of an advantage to know that you have 2 reset facilities:

One is the use of the F5-key which does a refresh Browser

and

Two, select&copy your code
Then use the Reset Code button of the course-window,
then paste your code back in.

Addendum
General Notes:
Always refresh the browser after making corrections:
CTRL f5 ( if on Windows or Linux)
CMD r ( if on a MAC).

I did these two things and it didn't work. Here's my code:
div {
display: inline-block;
margin-left: 5px;
height: 100px;
width: 100px;
border-radius: 100%
border: 2px solid black;
border: 2px solid black;
}
.friend{
border: 2px;
border: dashed;
border-color: #008000;
}
.family{
border: 2px;
border: dashed;
border-color: #0000FF;
}
.enemy{
border: 2px;
border: dashed;
border-color: #FF0000
}

I've found out why people are having problems on this. If it's not accepting the CSS, go to the HTML file, and put in text between the Div's. It'll start accepting the CSS, and give new reminder errors for the div's without text between their tags.

Here's what I've done;

    <div class="family">test</div>
    <div class="friend">test</div>
    <div class="enemy">test</div>

And for the CSS;

}

.friend {
border: 2px dashed #008000;
}

.family {
border: 2px dashed #0000FF;
}

.enemy {
border: 2px dashed #FF0000
}

And I've managed to pass it just now. It may be handy to think back if it's not clear what's going wrong to the first exercise. The example of what you'll be doing for each unit will always have the right formatting such as the names in the centre of each border. I haven't aligned the text to the centre but I imagine that'll come later.
