4. I don´t understand why it begins with "a"

#1

Hi all,

I have a question regarding this exercise, I don´t understand why it begins with "a":

SELECT a.dep_month,
a.dep_day_of_week,

which is the "a" standig for?
In this kind of cases, do we always need to begin with "a" or could be a different letter?

Thanks in advanced and kind regards,
anamuro

Yes, I have the same quetion. I tried to remove all 'a.', and it works just like before. So why should we have them?

Same question here. The "a"looks like an alias for a table, but there is no "AS" keyword...
