What am I doing wrong?

#2

How can you tell you are doing something wrong? Is there an error message?

#3

Need help with deploy a website on 4/7 adding a remote
#4

hey, I'm also having the same issue. here's what I've done:

$ cd personal-website/
$ git init
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/ccuser/workspace/daw/seanhoar-cc/personal-website/.git/
$ git remote add origin https://github.com/SHoar/seanhoar-cc.github.io.git

But codecademy doesn't seem to be reading what I've done in the terminal. The origin has already been created but I can't submit or move on.

#5

Same over here :(:(:(:(:(:(:frowning:

#6

I submitted a bug report. Hopefully they'll figure it out quickly.

#7

it works for me
$ pwd
$ ls
$ cd
$ git init
$ git remote ............

  • cd your ls result.

#8

try this,

first enter,
$ cd personal-website

then
$git remote add origin https://github.com/your-user-name/your-user-name.github.io.git

#9

I submitted a bug report hopefully they look at it.

#10

If you use
$cd personal-website
and then the example code it will work.

#11
