4/9 Clear out the status box

So I’ve been over my code for 20 minutes now, and I can’t seem to find the problem with my code:

var main = function () {
(".btn").click(function() { var post = (".status-box").val();
('<li>').text(post).prependTo('.posts'); (’.status-box’).val(’’);

Even though there are no differences between the Hint and my code I keep getting the same error of:

“Oops, try again. Remember to add code for ('.status-box').val(''); inside your (’.btn’).click() function.”

Not sure if it’s right in front of my face, or if it’s more complicated than that, but I would appreciate some help.

Hi Wizbiz11211,

There’s nothing wrong with your code - the SCT (Submission Correctness Test; code checker) on this exercise is just being a little overly picky :confused:
Swap out all of your double quotes (") for single quotes ('), and your code will be passed :slight_smile:
