4/7 "First move!"

When I submitted this code, it says I have a syntax error but it looks correct to me. Can your guys' fresh eyes help?

console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'");
var = userAnswer;
var userAnswer = prompt("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?");

#2

Ok, I just solved my own problem. When declaring a variable, you don't use the equals sign. It's simply:

var userAnswer;

Unfortunately, when I declared the variable for age, I did use the equals sign and I still passed that lesson, which is obviously wrong right?

#3

Yeah that's weird about the age thing, maybe you should tell a staff member?

#4

For my code it always ends up with this error.

Did you remember to console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'"); ?

Don't know what change is needed here.

#5

I seen that 2 because it might hate us

#6

i am having the same problem as you did you ever figure out how to solve it.

#7

Im having the same issue....ugggh. Did you ever find a solution?

#8

With the help of other thread discussions and I finalized the code as below. It worked for me. Please check the syntax if needed.

console.log("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'");

console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'");

var userAnswer = prompt("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?");

if (userAnswer === "yes" || "Yes") {
console.log("You and Bieber start racing. It's neck and neck! You win by a shoelace!");
