in my script.js I put

$(document).ready(function() {
$(id="notready").fadeOut(1000);
});

it says

Oops, try again. Make sure to place '#notready' inside the empty $() and put .fadeOut after the $() . Check the Hint if you need help!

can you help me? thanks!

For anyone else wondering how @theawesomecoderguy was able to solve his problem, the correct way to select something with an id in jQuery is like this:

$('#id')
