tried to find my mistake but I couldn't Please HELP

your cashRegister object:

var cashRegister = {
    total: 0,
}

you close it pretty quickly, the add and scan method + switch statement should be part of the object, remove the } after total: 0,

this way, the methods and switch statement become part of the object
