3. Function Syntax

#1

Having trouble in Function Syntax Exercise for JavaScript:

https://www.codecademy.com/courses/javascript-beginner-en-6LzGd/0/3?curriculum_id=506324b3a7dffd00020bf661#

It asked me to 'call the function' and I did and it printed
'Great to see you , Sam'

The error says I 'did not pass the greeting function' Pass it a name!
It will not let me move forward.

var greeting = function (name) {
    console.log("Great to see you," + " " + name);
};

// On line 11, call the greeting function!
sayGreeting("Sam");

Hi tey aske you to..

On line 11, call the greeting function!

#3

I did call the greeting function:

sayGreeting("Sam");

#4

you should remove the Say and the uppercase G to your call function so it should be like that

greeting("Sam");

#5

Thank you it worked.

In the exercise it says to do this:

sayHello("Emily");

This is why I did this:

sayGreeting("Sam");

#6

it wouldn't work wither way for my D:

@lady_pieanite, if you can't figure it out you can always post a new question to the forum :slight_smile:

#8

That's because in that case the name of the function was sayHello; it wasn't Hello.
