3 different ways to write syntax for fall back font

Going through the tutorials, I’ve been instructed the following ways:

h1 {
font-family: ‘Garamond’, Times, serif;
}

(single quote marks first font)

h1 {
font-family: Garamond, ‘Times’, serif;
}

(single quote marks fallback font)

h1 {
font-family: “Garamond”, “Times”, serif;
}

(double quotation marks both fonts)

Does this mean all are correct ways?

Is there one which is considered best practice?

There isn’t necessarily a best practice. You should choose one of the three.
