// Check if the user is ready to play!
confirm("Are you? I am ready to play");
var age = prompt("What's your age");
if(age < 13)
{
console.log("Sorry, you are not old enough");
}
else
{
console.log("You are old enough! Access Granted!");
}
console.log ("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing")

Help, why doesn't this work??

confirm("I am ready to play");
var age=prompt("what's your age");
if (age<13)
{
console.log("you're allowed to play but I take no responsibility");
}
else
{
console.log("Play on!");
}
console.log("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'");

Thank you for any help you can offer!!!

What have I done ? Need another pair of eyes ...

// Check if the user is ready to play!
confirm ("Press the OK button to play")
var age = prompt("What's your age ?")
if (age < 13)
{ console.log("You can play this game but we take no responsibilty for your health") }
else
{ console.log("Enjoy the game") };
console.log( "You are at a Justin Bieber concert and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'")

#6

You added the one semi-colon in the one place it would hurt:

else
{ console.log("Enjoy the game") } ; <
                                  ^

Thanks for the reply lolman.

I tried
confirm ("Press the OK button to play")
var age = prompt("What's your age ?")
if (age < 13)
{ console.log("You can play this game but we take no responsibilty for your health") }
else
{ console.log("Enjoy the game") }
console.log( "You are at a Justin Bieber concert and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'")

but that does the same thing

#8

Despite displaying everything ....

You can play this game but we take no responsibilty for your health
You are at a Justin Bieber concert and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'

Error message
Oops, try again. Make sure your string is correct and is between quotation marks!

#9

Just note that it has to be letter for letter. No spelling, grammatical, or other wise any mistake inside the console.log statement will send that error message.

Take a close look at each sentence, and compare it to what it's telling you to write.

Lovely. Thanks for your help.

#11

Hi byteace02040, it looks like you might be missing the single quote after racing.

#12

Spoiler alert:

// Check if the user is ready to play!
confirm("Are you ready to play?");
var age = prompt("What's your age'?");
if (age < 13)
{
console.log("You are allowed to play but we take no responsiblity")
}
else
{
console.log("Have Fun!")
}

console.log("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'");

Here is what worked for me. And it was that dam ; in the wrong place! But here is what I did.

// Check if the user is ready to play!
confirm("Are you ready to play?");
var age = prompt("What is your age?");
if (age < 13)
{
console.log ("Feel free to continue but we assume no responsibility")
}
else
{
console.log ("Please play to your heart's content")
}
