3/11 not working

#1

I followed the instructions and when I submitted the code it worked. I put my name in but the blue gear keeps spinning and won't let me move on. Can someone tell me what I did wrong please?

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

name=raw_input("What's your name?")
original=raw_input()

#2

That second raw_input you have there is waiting for your input.

#3

So what did I do wrong then? I responded in the box but the gear keeps moving.

#4

that second raw_input() is waiting for a response too. you only responded to the first one.
to fix this just delete original=raw_input() and change the variable, name, so it is now, original,

original = raw_input("What's your name?")

Pyglatin 3/11 The instructions are not very clear [Solved]
#5

Hi,
I also get an error when trying to do 3/11

My code:
print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

Start coding here!

original = raw_input("Enter a word:")

This runs ok, and then I can't get past the lesson step because I get the following error in the console window:

Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!
Enter a word: wowzer
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "python", line 4, in
File "", line 1, in
NameError: name 'wowzer' is not defined

thanks very much for any tips of what I am doing wrong!

#6

The problem is that you did not assign the answer for original to a variable. You need to do that so that it is defined. Sorry this is late. Hope it helps!

#7

Thank you so much. This fixed my problem and it's working fine now
