25. More Variable Practice

#1

so this is my code what am I doing wrong?
// Declare a variable on line 3 called
// myCountry and give it a string value.
var myCountry = "United States";

// Use console.log to print out the length of the variable myCountry.
console.log("myCountry".length);

// Use console.log to print out the first three letters of myCountry.
console.log("myCountry".substring(0, 3));

#2

Variables are not surrounded by quotes. Strings are.
Try removing the quotes in the console.log lines :relaxed:

#3

thank you! :smile: cssblaster I was stuck on that for like an hour.

#4

// Declare a variable on line 3 called
// myCountry and give it a string value.

// Use console.log to print out the length of the variable myCountry.
console.log( );

// Use console.log to print out the first three letters of myCountry.
console.log( ); what the heck going on :angry: :fire:

#5

You haven't added any code yet.

First you must declare a variable on line 3.
