23. CSS Positioning "Displaying Properly"

#1

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong here? It's asking us to set li's display value to inline; here's my code:

li {
border: 2px solid #000000;
font-family: Futura, Tahoma, sans-serif;
color: #ffffff;
border-radius: 5px 5px;
background-color: #cc0323
display: inline;
padding-top: 5px;
padding-bottom: 5px;
padding-right: 5px;
padding-left: 5px;
}

but it keeps telling me that my my display value is wrong.

Hi @gianinered,

li {
border: 2px solid #000000;
font-family: Futura, Tahoma, sans-serif;
color: #ffffff;
border-radius: 5px 5px;
background-color: #cc0323 /*<----- add a semicolon here*/
display: inline;
padding-top: 5px;
padding-bottom: 5px;
padding-right: 5px;
padding-left: 5px;
}

Thanks a bunch. Silly mistake lol

#4

i doubt it is even your mistake, this is what the exercise start with:

li {
border: 2px solid #000000;
font-family: Futura, Tahoma, sans-serif;
color: #ffffff;
border-radius: 5px 5px;
background-color: #cc0323
}

since background-color: #cc0323 is the last property, it doesn't require a semi-colon, but then you add stuff (display etcetera), then it is no longer the last property, so the semi-colon is required

Thank you for clarifying.
