20. bordering on insanity

#1

I'm on this same lesson. My code works but I'm not sure if it's right. Nothing changes in the editor. Is it right?

td {
height:50px;
border:1px;

}

table {
border:1px;
}

Well, the border property normally has 3 values: border-width (1px for example), a border-style (solid, dashed and so on) and a border-color (red, green, black or a hex color)

You might want to give your border property 3 values, separate the values with a space.

Do you mean like this? Anyways thanks it worked

td {
height:50px;
border:1px;

}

table {
border-width:1px;
border-style:solid;
border-color:blue;

}

That will work, i would do the same for your table cell, you can also just use the border-property and give it 3 values:

border: 1px solid blue;

i might needed to included some general css syntax in my answer:

selector {
   property: value;
   property: value;
   property: value;
}

Ok lol thx. :grinning:

Your td tags are empty. You can fill them with words or images on the html page to get the dashed blue border to show up. There is probably a null type value you can put to make a blank table but I am not that far yet.
