I just noticed I had 2 sets of qoutes on url codecademy. I took the extra quote out and it FINALLY worked. Thank you anyway. Are there any other errors you notice before I continue on???

#7

Your image is incorrect should look like this:

<img src="url" />

Yours has text in between, also you are missing <html> </html> tags

This link ^ is not an image so you won't get any background, try this image: https://codecademy-content.s3.amazonaws.com/courses/web-beginner-en-3pc6w/images/splash.jpg

#8

Thank you.... that definitely gave me a background. Now I've been stuck on where to place the
input[type="submit"] {
background: limegreen;
color: black;

p {
  font-size: 24px;

input {
  border: 0;
  padding: 12px;
  font-size: 18px;
{
input[type="submit"] {
  background: limegreen;
  color: black;

#10

Put this in your existing input { } element (Don't create another one)

#11

It made the "Your Email" limegreen and the "submit" limegreen and black. I get this message error...
oops, try again. Do not give your email input a background color. Just your submit input.

#12

I figured it out. I had to do this....
}input[type="submit"] {
background: limegreen;
color: black;
