I keep getting this message =

File "python", line 5
'pocket' : ['seashell', 'strangeberry', 'lint']
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

Replace this line with your code.
inventory = {
'gold' : 500,
'pouch' : ['flint', 'twine', 'gemstone'], # Assigned a new list to 'pouch' key
'backpack' : ['xylophone','dagger', 'bedroll','bread loaf']
'pocket' : ['seashell', 'strangeberry', 'lint']
}
# Adding a key 'burlap bag' and assigning a list to it
inventory['burlap bag'] = ['apple', 'small ruby', 'three-toed sloth']

# Sorting the list found under the key 'pouch'
inventory['pouch'].sort()

# Your code here
inventory['backpack'].sort()
inventory['backpack'].remove('dagger')
inventory['gold'] += 50

Hi, @ato1113 ,

Quite often, when the Python interpreter discovers a syntax error at the beginning of a line, the programmer has made a mistake in the preceding line, which could consist of omitting a comma or parenthesis, possibly at the end of the line.

Thank you! I was missing the comma after the 'backpack' contents!
