13: Putting It All Together

This is my CSS

.intro {
color:#B83C3A;

}

.standout {
color:#F7AC5F;
font-family:Verdana;

This is my HTML

//<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
        <title>Result</title>
    </head>
    <body>
        <h2 class="intro">Introduction</h2>
        <h3 class="standout">Classes and IDs in CSS</h3>
        <p class="standout">Classes and IDs are super easy in CSS. You're using them right now!</p>
        <h3>Regular HTML Selectors</h3>
        <p>If you don't bother with a class or ID, an HTML element just gets
           the regular CSS styling for that element—or the default styling if you
           don't specify any particular styling on the stylesheet.
        </p>
    </body>
</html>

I keep getting the error: "Oops did you remember to add the intro ID to the h2 header?"

Please paste in your code using the following format:

```
  // replace with your code
```

Thank you I appreciate that. I was about to go searching for an answer on how to properly format so that my HTML appears as HTML. Thank you again.

You’re welcome !

You didn’t close this element
<h2 class=“intro”>Introduction</h2>
You used a class it asks for id id="intro"

**This is my CSS**

.intro {
    color:#B83C3A;

}

.standout {
    color:#F7AC5F;
    font-family:Verdana;
    }

**I am now getting the error message " _Oops, try again.Did you remember to set #intro's color to #B83C3A?_"**

Thank you! I’ve switched it to ID but it’s still not working, I’ve posted my updated code.

You have .intro the dot . is for a class
you are styling a id so you will use the hash symbol #
#intro { }

Thanks! It worked perfectly! Thank you for the prompt responses. :slightly_smiling:
