10/11

#1
pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:').lower
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
new_word = word + first + pyg
new_word = new_word[1:len(new_word)]
print new_word

else:
print 'empty'

the error that keeps occuring is
File "python", line 11
else:
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

#2

This line

original = raw_input('Enter a word:').lower

should be

original = raw_input('Enter a word:').lower()

#3

Print

Now, I have this Code:
pyg = 'ay'
original = raw_input('Enter a word:').lower()
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
new_word = word + first + pyg
new_word = new_word[1:len(new_word)]
print new_word

else:
print 'empty'

And it says:
File "python", line 11
print 'empty'
^
IndentationError: expected an indented block

#4

try this

pyg = 'ay'
original = raw_input('Enter a word:').lower()
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    word = original.lower()
    first = word[0]
    new_word = word + first + pyg
    new_word = new_word[1:len(new_word)]
    print new_word
else:
    print 'empty'

remember python is strict on the indents you use.

#5

when it says that, hit space three times on that line.
