1. Lesson Number One - Please Help?

#1

lloyd = {
"name": "Lloyd"
"homework": [],
"quizzes": [],
"test": [],
}

alice = {
"name": "Alice"
"homework": [],
"quizzes": [],
"test": [],
}

tyler = {
"name" : "Tyler"
"homework": [],
"quizzes": [],
"test": [],
}

error message: Your code threw a "global name 'lloyd' is not defined" error.

#2

All three object instances are missing a comma after the name attribute. Since the dictionaries will not be dynamically altered to add new keys, the comma after test: [] can also be removed from all three instances.

#3

Hi,

Why we don't need [ ] after the name entries?

#4

Because the 'name entries' are set as plain string data.

lloyd = {
    "name": "Lloyd",
    # ...
}

The remaining properties all refer to data structures as their associated values, lists in this case. The data will be added in the next lesson, I believe.
